PuryFile is an iOS app that helps you remove metadata from files.

PuryFile is built and maintained by an independent developer.

This page describes how privacy is handled in the app.

What We Collect

PuryFile does not collect personal data for us or for third parties.

PuryFile does not use analytics SDKs, ad SDKs, third-party trackers, or external crash-reporting pipelines.

How Processing Works

All metadata extraction and removal runs locally on your device.

Files are accessed only when you explicitly select them via iOS pickers.

Files do not leave your device unless you intentionally share them using iOS sharing controls.

Permissions

Photo library and file access permissions are requested only as needed for selected files.

PuryFile does not perform unattended file scanning.

Local On-Device Data

To provide app features, PuryFile may store limited data locally on your device, such as temporary cleaned files during active workflows, local processing history, and local app state needed for features such as access tier handling.

This data is stored in your app sandbox or app group container and is not sent to our servers.

Temporary workflow files are cleaned up automatically on normal completion and subsequent cleanup opportunities.

In-App Purchases

PuryFile may offer in-app purchases via Apple StoreKit.

Purchase processing, receipts, and transaction data are handled by Apple under Apple's privacy terms.

PuryFile uses entitlement results locally to unlock features.

Internet Use

Core metadata cleaning works offline.

Internet may be used for platform services such as App Store purchase or restore checks (StoreKit), or when you open external support links.

PuryFile does not run its own analytics or tracking network pipeline.

Data Sharing

PuryFile does not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or profiling.

Any sharing of files happens only when you explicitly initiate sharing or export through iOS.

Reliability and Support (Indie Developer Notice)

PuryFile is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.

No app is guaranteed to be error-free at all times.

If you report an issue, we will investigate and aim to fix confirmed problems in future updates.

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
